Dr. Charney received her BA from Harvard University and her MD from Yale University. She completed Triple Board Training in Pediatrics, Adult and Child Psychiatry at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Charney has worked in academic settings in New York and Chicago with a primary focus on inpatient psychiatric care of children in the public and foster care sectors. Currently, she is Assistant Professor of Child Psychiatry at University of Illinois, working as consultant to the Clinical Services in Psychopharmacology and DocAssist programs. She is also Director of the Child Psychiatry Consultation Liaison service at the UIC Medical Center.
